Township Parks System

Community Park

Community Park is located at 1505 Bond Street.  It consists of 21.9 mostly wooded acres bordering Brandywine Creek.  Originally the site served as a Lodge for the Fraternal Order of the Odd Fellows and was purchased by the Township in 1972 for a park.  Amenities include baseball/softball field, playground equipment, picnic tables and grills, hiking trails along Brandywine Creek and trout fishing.

South Fireman’s Park

This park is located directly behind the Township Hall on Bell Road.  It is the host park for the summer Cal-Ripkin baseball program and the Niles-Brandywine girls’ softball program.  It is by far the busiest park during the summer with many families and visitors watching area youth participating in ball games and tournaments.  South Firemen's Park has 6 Pickle Ball courts that were resurfaced in 2022.  This park also offers convenient access to the IMRVT (Indiana Michigan River Valley Trail), which runs along the entire eastern edge of the park. Other amenities of the park include play structures, a pavilion with picnic tables and grills for use at no charge.

North Fireman’s Park

This one acre mini park is located along M-51 and provides playground equipment, two benches, two grills and a covered picnic shelter.

Fulkerson Park

This  4.2 acre park is located at the corner of Fulkerson Road and 17th Street.  Amenities include tennis courts, basketball courts, a small ball field, play structures, picnic tables and grills.

Brandywine Creek nature 2Samson Park

This 3.5 acre neighborhood park is located on Knight Road east of Holmes Drive.  Amenities include playground equipment (Tot Lot), a picnic shelter/pavilion, picnic tables, grill, four benches, and a winter toboggan run.

Brandywine Creek Nature Park

This park is located at the corner of S. 3rd Street and U.S. 12 and is owned by the State of Michigan and managed by the Township.  Brandywine Creek, a designated Trout stream, winds through the property.  It is another one of our popular fishing parks.
