Building Department
The department is managed by building official Todd Herter (THerter@nilestwpmi.gov). The department’s mission statement “Build Safe = Live Safe” exemplifies the core values and dedication of the staff to protect the community through the administration and enforcement of various laws, ordinances, codes and standards.Inspections:
Building inspection requests must be phoned in to (269) 687-2741 (no voice mail or email request will be scheduled). Trade inspection request must be phoned in to the respective inspector's office listed on this permit.
